How to Save Time on Instagram (Sue B.’s Instagram Expert Hacks)

Yes, I am The Instagram™ Expert but I’m always looking for ways to save TIME on the app. It can be overwhelming trying to consistently show up for your followers. Especially when you’re juggling running your business. That’s why I’m sharing four of my best time-saving Instagram™ tips.  In this blog post:

#1 How to Save Time on Instagram™: Easily Switch Between Accounts

Do you have more than one Instagram™ account? Then, you might find yourself spending a lot of time typing in your passwords.  It might only take a moment to login to your Instagram™ account. But that’s time you could spend focusing on other areas of your business. Plus, you don’t want the hassle of having to remember the password every time.  Instead, switch between accounts right in the Instagram™ app. Tap on your profile photo in the bottom right corner.  If you have more than two Instagram™ accounts just hold your finger down on your photo. Then, you’ll see all of your linked Instagram™ accounts pop up. 

Sue B. Pro Tip: Remember to double check which account you’re posting to. You would never want to accidentally post a family picture or unrelated content on your business page. 

#2 How to Save Time on Instagram™: Use Siri 

For business owners on the go we don’t always have time to add text to our Instagram™ Stories. That’s why I use Siri to type out most of Instagram™ Stories text. Did you know that 85% of Instagram™ users watch Instagram™ Stories on silent. If you’re not adding subtitles you’re missing out on potential views.  All you need to do is open the text tool and hold your finger down on the microphone. After that, give your Instagram™ Stories caption another glance before you post. 

#3 How to Save Time on Instagram™: Create Content Where You Are

With the latest updates, there are now two places to create an Instagram™ post. It might only be a few taps, but the time adds up. Make sure you are not wasting your time trying to navigate all the Instagram™ changes.  Watch this YouTube video to get all the info you need on the latest changes to the Instagram™ interface. 

#4 How to Save Time on Instagram™: Final Tip 

Here’s my final tip: Block time on your calendar when you post on Instagram™.  This isn’t about mindlessly scrolling through the app. This is an opportunity to engage with your followers and respond to your Instagram™ Direct Messages. When you engage in real-time with your followers, and encourage others to join the conversation, it’s more likely that the Instagram™ algorithm will give your post a boost. That means potential followers are more likely to see it on the Explore page.
